only what i need to

Contributed by fallensilence on Thursday, 3rd April 2003 @ 08:45:00 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

i will say only what i need to
and leave you in the dark
i would have liked to meet you
somehow i've lost you
maybe ill be able to fake
every emotion
to be what you want me to feel
and maybe ill write something to get you to notice me.
but even with a thousand words or just one perfect one
you would be oblivious

very well written, i like the contrast between a thousand words 'or just one perfect one'. damn, i'd love to know the background behind this poem - but maybe thats just nosey! but hey, write something for this person - something tells me they won't be oblivious after that. keep writing, Kate x

those lines are my favourites. love this write - totally deep and with a lot of heartfelt stuff going on in there. sometimes people just don't notice, right? screw the lot of them! haha. great poem. Nick.

(just in case you're wondering, i let my friend use my ID - i'm not actually a guy in disguise!)

Craig (another friend) said: that rocks - deep without being pretentious. lots of meaning but simple language so it doesn't feel like homework when you're reading it. cool.
