From the start, you were a question mark –
And Lies are easier told in the dark.
A maybe, nothing ever permanent –
I believed that what you told me, you meant,
Was it too much to ask, for just one song
Where the lyrics aren’t all wrong?
Right now I just want a different rhyme;
Something that’ll be worth my time.
Is it possible to find another tune?
Without you I’ll be happy again soon.
Before I knew it, I forgot your eyes.
Forget the skies; one more final goodbye.
So I meant to tell you, I met someone new.
His only flaw; he shares your name –
Andrew.

A sonnet in your own style, conveyed with an elegance and intelligence.
