Grief

I thought I left you that day
-marched down the cement stairwell into a new world-
but I was wrong
naive if I had really believed we would be seperate then
-different, maybe-
And today you wake up again
-somewhere inside of me, you wake up-
I'm here fighting you off like a virus
-sick on the coach unable to move without feeling you creep up my throat in the form of bile-
but you know this don't you?
-blinking open your eyes more than two thousand miles away-
do you grin at the thought of it?
-me crumpled in a heap on the floor, exausted from all I have given you and what it takes to remember?-
You're twisted
-my grief spirals into disgust, bitter and sore-
I am here pulling myself into the next day and I have no idea if you even feel or think
-crumpled in a sick mess, picking through all the lies and betrayal to find that you are somewhere inside of me-
inevitable.
