The roots of your tree grow deep into my soil
That holds me tight and keeps you still
Entwined as one
Never let go
Your armed canopy stops life’s erosion
From washing away my weary soul
Strong and broad keeps me safe
Together as one

What a wonderful metaphor. A perfect description
for the most profound of love.
