A Reflection Of A Childhood In Tears.

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Scars the ones you can not hide, the images that flash threw dreams and nightmares.
Trust a sacred thing not given lightly to the creatures that roam in the night.
Fear of the past and the anger that is brought with you threw the ages.
Love a thing of beauty till those who control take the love to far.

I was a child of abuse, i was taught things that no child should ever know.
Hands of elders taking away the purity of my youth.
I was never left to grow, from birth to depression before my eyes new love.
Taking away the things that mattered most, all from a predator with selfish goals.
Stealing away my past and leaving a shell of destruction, a empty hole left within my chest.

What is it that makes a predator, the vicious cycle of the one who scared him.
The corruptness of sex and the will to destroy something before it has a chance to grow.
The sickness of the mind to hurt something so small.

Living after those moments was more then any adolescence should bare.
Afraid of the dark, afraid of adults, afraid to tell for words always get turned.
Seeking only solitude within the toys that filled my lonely room.
Trying to hold my head high, after being kicked and beaten.
Pretending to be a little boy when things that man should know running threw my mind.

Scars is all you leave, your self absorbed ego pushing your desires on someone else.
Ruining a life before life gets a chance to do it on its own.
What is it about a child that makes you vile, demons crawling on your skin.
Why does my innocence have to do with your deprived needs.

You will never understand the thoughts that you put in a child's mind, when you think of your own self.
Trying to be normal while the inner shell is crumbling.
Trying to repress anger so that you can never hurt those who hurt you.

What is the mind of a abuser, a pile of loose signals and twisted ideas.
Seeking supremacy over the victims.
Cutting the cords of life.

Why is it that we let those who hurt, get away with simple time.
They have ruined a child for life, while he spends a few years away.
What kind of law do we have, when nothing more can be done to help the victims.
When can we wake up and scream no more will be harmed.
A life for a life.

I had to walk away from this one for a minute
Such a difficult subject to ponder
I just really don't believe anything
could ever do justice for a circumstance like this
You have drawn the emotions and truths
so well here
I appreciate you for writing this

Peace be with you
Kara

You are without doubt, THE bravest person I have ever come across. Such a painful and moving piece of poetry. How hard that must have been to put into words, so beautifully written, and with such heavy heart.
I'm so proud of you, You will always be in my thoughts, and I will never forget who you are now... today... alive.... and living...
Keep writing.......
Much love.... Last Star x x x

you will never understand the thoughts that you put in a child's mind, spoke to me very strongly, a high price for you to write this poem and im sure the price will be worth it for the people who can empathise with you,the law in this country is a fool and often protects the criminal and gives no justice to the innocent victims
