Put It Down

Contributed by laststarontheleft on Friday, 13th November 2009 @ 05:45:34 AM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

Why was I so stupid
Where did it all go wrong
The very fact I did it
Matters why I write this song

I'm hurting on the inside
So deep I can't describe
I've pushed away the one man
That i've searched so hard to find

I hope he can forgive me
I hope he takes me back
I really want to start again
And get us back on track

I can't believe I blew it
Over just a stupid drink
How cruelly it can hinder
You're ability to think

Well, i'm thinking now so clearly
And I know what must be done
I've got to put that drink down
Only then, I'll find the one

Beautiful poem. Good work. I feel your pain and you regret in this poem. Yup, unfortunately, there's the moments in our lives when we think why we did not think when it was necessary to think)))
I'm just kiddin'.
Alexa.

Those things we wish we could undo
Unfortunately we can only try to make things right
Do better the next time around
You've penned your thoughts well
And it seems like you know what to do

Best of Luck
Kara
