I've felt this pain before
Holding hands with strangers
Walking on my floors
My star is out of sight
The way is clear, but,
I cannot see for fear the dark will bite
My life is fading, still,
I grasp the hand of life
Which rocks my lowly cradle
The air is gone
All to be heard, a suffocating choke
....My only son
And now, amid the nothing
A tiny seed, alone, exists
Inside it a new life over, is beginning on the other side.......

Oh so sad but great writing.
One of my younger sisters lost her only son a few years back. I'm sure this has to be the greatest pain on Earth for any mother.
I'm truly sorry for your loss.

Damn!!! This is terribly sad. It's things like this that make me think this is hell on earth. No parent should have to go through this.
Very, very, freaking sad and I am so sorry for your loss.
On a positive note, this experience spawned a great poem.
