Just another stray

Remember you welcomed me with cuddles you gave me a home
you told me i was special no longer would i be alone
gave me love and warmth and you told me i could stay
i loved you so i would always be i would never stray

lay on your bed sat on your lap brushed my coat it did shine
gave me food and shelter played with me for such a long time
where i came from and what was done was scared hated every day
but i remember how cruel they where to me just threw me away

So why i ask do i now sit here in this lonely very sad place
some people came today but was not you i would know your face
the cat next to me is friendly and tries his very best
but its you i want lay on your bed together we use to rest

Why did you send me here how could you let me go this way
remember you took me in told me never to ever go away
now it seem you will never come again i live in hope one day
but it seems now until they come for me i am just another stray

Aww, how sad. A true perception of
what it must feel like. Superb writing
