The child cries for the first time
feels the first maternal embrace
thrown to the winds of fate
educated through the bruises
loves through the broken heart
gives through what is stolen
The child becomes the adult
one that is moral by control
or one without ethics by choice
hope is another baseless faith
fidelity is the set-up for the punch line
death is the empty reward
The adult cries for the final time
dark is the face of the final farewell
some personal meaning is the only hope
where is that Shakespearian love
where is that warm cloud of family
where is the peace in completion?
