she was nothing but a strange girl
who lived in a strange world
she admitted she was strange
her world, however, did not
the girl embraced her strangeness
to see how far she could push
who knew what she was thinking?
who knew how her mind worked?
she didn't know about the present
always wondered what lied ahead
"what on earth is wrong with that girl?"
both of her parents said
she was just a sick and twisted girl
in a sick and twisted world
she admitted she was sick and twisted
her world, however, does not
she embraced her sick and twistedness
yet pushed it to the side
that young remorseful psychopath
with all her saintly acts to hide
she did a good deed
that hurt the world
because it made them think
the lucky girls soul
was next to almost dead
"what is wrong with that odd girl?"
all the doctors said
she's just a girl who fears the world
in a world who fears the girl
the girl masks her fear as hate
the world masks it as love
they want her to get better
and she wants them to think
the girl will never recover
if the world will never think
she makes the world uneasy
until she's asleep in bed
"what could ever be wrong with that girl?"
a random stranger said
she's just a girl who loves the world
in a world that hates the girl
the girl masks her love as hate
the world; their hate as love
they want her to get better
so they won't have to think
thinking can be dangerous
push people over the brink
that age old box of sanity
is smaller than you think
if you think outside it
than outside it you must go
when the girl went outside it
she looked back but did not give in
when she met the outside perils
fiends that wanted her dead
"nothing really is wrong with me!"
the girl herself said
