oops

it all starts with a breeze.
any breeze.
you can run a bit
to enhance the lift
or
you can grant it's release
from a grounded stance.
you work the cunning
ups and downs
as it climbs
high into the blue.
and once it's safe
and resting ...
... way up there
you feel this wondrous pull
on the line
and
this grand responsibility
to keep it safe
and somehow ...
bring it back home.

dirk ... this could have so many meanings. Sans the title, I could
hold this piece and claim it among any one of a million metaphors. But
the one that most closely resembles my own desires and emotions this
night is love. How wondrous that you've described something so
simple with so much complexity. Beautiful. A thousand times over!
