Step by step nearer

Unexpectedly getting little closer

My baby steps work

Each stride strengthening

Steadily balanced each movement

Each footstep properly placed

Vigilant not to hurry

Tread ever so lightly

On new wobbly legs

Destine to walk securely

Running seems not to far away

It’s a slow work in progress but it is worth waiting for.
