If that one you see inside the mirror
Now comes out there and grabs your hand
Will it scare you to death, baby?
If the heavens crash down on your head
Will you think that you lost all you had?
So if you do then you know how I feel now.

Every time you get some troubles
You're runnin’ away to the bottom of a bottle
And I gotta feelin’ you don't want to
Work out at somethin’ that rest yet.

But I'm afraid no more,
Cos the one you used to know,
That's not me anymore,
I disappeared as you wanted me to,
Wishin' no more to live by your rules,
So I've been leavin' you stranded
With a bottle of chivas in your hand.

You've been keepin' me down for too long,
You've given me the shelter, but I wasn't feelin' safe,
And that time was enough to make me strong
No matter how you tried to make me weak.
I'm not that kinda people who preys on the knees
Knownin' that your chivas means for you over me.
You think I'll be afraid of sayin' "Goodbye" to you,
Then you know me worse than I had thought you do.

Stop your trying to drag me down
And pull your head out the bottle
Just save the things that made you
That man I used to know and love.

But I'm afraid no more,
Cos the one you used to know,
That's not me anymore,
I disappeared as you wanted me to,
Wishin' no more to live by your rules,
So I've been leavin' you stranded
With a bottle of chivas in your hand.

So call me when you'll change your mind
Or just when you're gonna be sober,
Cos you were burnin' that paradise
Which once you might offer.

But I'm afraid no more,
Cos the one you used to know,
That's not me anymore,
I disappeared as you wanted me to,
Wishin' no more to live by your rules,
So I've been leavin' you stranded
With a bottle of chivas in your hand.

So tell me right now.
If the heavens crash down on your head
Will you think you lost all you'd had,
So if you do then you know how I feel now
That you put our love in the bottom
Of a bottle of chivas…
Chivas…

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
