what is yet to be

autumn leaves spread out over the hills and valley carpeting of colors,
soon fading deaths invasion, hibernating trees waves in the breeze cold winters chill
asleep until spring, soon to be covered with winters blanket of snow,
bright stars in the heavens light reflecting on winters night, frost sparkels crisp air,
wind blowing forcefully in, pushing all warmth away,
in the distance stands a home with chimminey smoke, keeping winter cold at bay.
mother and daughter cuddled in a blanket of love, hot cocoa, coals of the fire aglow,
sharing secrets of winters past, and what is yet to be.
