Doubts and Fears
Everyone has times filled with doubts and fear
One of mine is that you will never be near
With each step forward another is taken back
What is that one special element that I lack?
Many things in my past have required me to be brave and strong
Many were done without fear that something would go wrong
This is so different from those of the past
For I fear an evil shadow on this has been cast
It would seem that as things are going so well and smooth
suddenly an impass sets in with a deep rooted groove
I asked if there was something that needed changed
something that should be re-arranged
The answer was that nothing could change because I am me
Perhaps that is where the issue could be
Doubts now will always play within my mind
Stirring up what ever fears they can find
