i saw you, then you saw me.
digging deep for a reaction
our eyes locked in instantly.
this is for keeps if you believe it can happen.

stretching out past my arms' extent,
for you... i'd bring down the world today.
forgetting the past with harmless intent.
you and i, well... we'll run away.

we can run at any pace you'd please.
i'll take you to places you never thought you would see.
this isn't a race, so we'll take it at ease.
we're in the safe... just run with me.

i called for you, then you called for me.
scripting out words that shouted for action.
underneath it all, it's easily seen.
just open your eyes and defeat the distractions.

unfolded and open past my toes again,
for you... i'd hurt in the worst way.
not too sure where we're going, but i'll take it all in.
then you and i, well... we'll run away.

we'll run in the wild, no shoes on our feet.
freelance it for miles, no sign of retreat.
it's all for the better, can't just you see?
we're in this together... just run with me
