Blind date

Blind date

On my way home,

I met you,

you asked me to the seaside to watch the sunset,

"Are you free?"

That day,

we had a blind date.

Your invitation made my heart beat fast,

I knew you had caught my heart.

Yes,

you were a special man,

I hadn't the wit to say no,

but a nod.

That mature me in the mirror,

fresh like the beautiful flower.

Yes,

A girl in the flower of her age is so precious.

From the mirror,

I could see you standing behind me,

and giving me your softness.

Walking with you shoulder to shoulder,

my mind was in a whirl.

You were a warm kindly man,

I felt a lot of comfort.

We went to the sea slowly,

and just talked when what came into our mind.

"I want to get home early."

said I,

I said the first thing that came into my mind.

Indeed,

that was just an excuse,

I was tortured by the thought of what will happen.

The wind was stronger for a while,

but it moderated after sunset.

The sunset was gorgeous,

there was a bar of red across the western sky,

you were smiling to greet the sunset with a hi.

Suddenly,

I felt the stroke of your hand on my hair,

you said you liked my hair over my shoulder,

"An inviting smile, place,

if here comes a delicious meal......"

Yes,

I followed you,

my view of life was the same as yours.

An inviting look, smell, prospect, idea,

you infected me with your enthusiasm,

I was full of the joys of spring.

The sunset went through the air,

flashed on my chest,

I felt some sweat in my hands,

as if I was lit by your words......

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
