Asleep Under The Moonlight

Contributed by daylynn_van_wyk on Wednesday, 28th October 2009 @ 10:09:49 AM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

,I fell, crash landing on tender flowers,
Tangled in sleeps precious hold
Seconds aged into hours
Whilst a journey greeted my astral projected soul.

Worriless fireflies floated by like nocturnal butterflies
My soul took lift to a gentle breeze
I chased memories of her angel eyes
I soared over life's endless seas.

Her purple scent flickered in the moonlight,
Purple roses poured from dying clouds,
I then landed on my skateboard after flight
coasting away from the shackles of doubt.

I coasted through highways
My restless soul on a mission
I ghosted through alleyways
My restless soul under her luring submission.

Her sweet scent led me to Eastwood
I neared, but friendly warmth faded
Mist soon rested on the moonlit neighborhood
and a vile feeling in my soul was created.

A dark forest soon appeared at my approach,
The voices of fiends echoed through tree tops
The fears of her rejection was encroached,
but affection melted at the sounds of tear drops.

I leapt off my skateboard into the unknown
My will was weathered against her windy barricade,
I struggled to break free from the friendship zone,
but a painful hurricane denied my loving aid.

My soul was blown into the distant miles,
A soft landing given by tender flowers,
Sadness consumed and returned me to denial,
I then flew back to avoid wasted hours.

The sunrise soon swept moonlight from my eyes
The nightmare continued into reality,
Her surrounding sorrows have ended dreams of paradise,
but as a friendly hero, I help her fight this dark tragedy.
