I didn’t realise I missed you till I felt your hand on mine
I didn’t realise I missed you till I heard your husky voice
I didn’t realise I missed you till I looked into your eyes
I didn’t realise I missed you till I read your words
I didn’t realise I missed you till I watched you walk away
Now I drown in the pain and emptiness of missing you.
He masks the hurt but never cures it
He paints my smile but never feels it
He covets my heart but never owns it
He caresses my skin but never feels warmth
He reads my words but never understands
Now he lives for cold and unrequited love.
