Will he come knocking on the door?

This night is dark and cold.
Octobers breath chilling.
A few nights off from Halloween.
The sight is growing darker.

Night zombies gather each night.
Making noise that shakes the moon,
but the moon ran to hide
tucked herself in between the clouds.

Now the world out my window is dark.
The wind is moaning,
the rain starts and stops.
The night zombies are out there I know
I hear them, but I cannot see them.

Will they come knocking on the door?

more later.........

Great write. It capures Halloween's spookiness perfectly. It's funny, I often get spooked a few nights before Halloween. I have an overactive imagination. Your poem was great!

Dark becomes you, i like this,
it's not so much a poem as it
is real enough to be a warning
of things to come, truly a lesson
in the macarbre . . .
