I Wish

Topic: Lifepoems

I wish I had wings and I could fly,
Kiss the wind and romance the sky.

I wish I had eyes that could see,
What people say and what they really mean.

I wish I could close my eyes,go to sleep,
And all the pain would just go by.

I wish I could turn back time,
Set right things, say the unsaid.

I know these wishes would never come true,
But I still keep wishing, don't we all do.

Ain't that the ever-lovin' truth.

The fact that wishes don't come true has never stopped me from wishing just the same.
