Still In Love With Him

I've been tryin' to ease this pain,
I've been tryin' to get him outta my head,
But I've just made it hard
Cos I've understood I can't do that,
So I've cried and rip out the lines
From our love story, but it's impossible.

I can't turn back time,
Cos I'm not God, but the human,
I tried to resist, tellin' myself
That the past should be in the past,
But everything just comes right back to this
I'm still in love with him.

Days fly by slowly and sure,
And that's the way it's supposed to be,
But I'm not me since he'd been gone,
I can't feel my face, I'm givin' up slowly,
Time left nothing from the one I meant to be,
So I've been prayin', I've been cryin',
I've wanted him to be gone.
I just couldn't see that without him in my life
There won't be the reasons to go on.

I can't turn back time,
Cos I'm not God, but human,
I tried to resist, tellin' myself
That the past should be in the past,
But everything just comes right back to this
I'm still in love with him.

The same old song but chorus is different,
You'll say that's the way it's supposed to be,
And I shoulda been careful with what I wish for,
When I let you walk out that door.

yes I feel this way too.....so many truths here....
