October Love affair

October blends with untamed spirits such as I.

Colors all around, sun streaks across each leaf.
Painting designs that make hearts sigh
filling the unfeeling with belief.

Then the nights are full of magic
with the shadows all about.
I can dance with my ghosts,
enjoy my vampires delights.

Then there is that stir,
a feeling that comes from down deep
like the leaf hanging in the wind
that causes a stir in me.

It is magical and mystical
the transformation this time of year.
That sets the heart to flutter
erasing all the fears.

At one with the colorful
melting in the shadows at night.
My once a year love affair
on a chilly October night.

Fall is my favorite time of year too. I especially liked your last stanza, "At one with the colorful melting in the shadows at night.
My once a year love affair on a chilly October night." Simply beautiful. Good job. ;)
