Sometimes I think if I just jump, it will solve everything.
A jump off the wall,
A jump over a skipping rope,
A jump under table.
Jumping can be fun,
We can do it together
Defy gravity and leave
Those poor other people on the floor
Get higher and higher,
Until we can fly over this
Old, tired city
And into the sky where the clouds are pretty.
Prettier than those ugly dogs
That chew at our minds
And leave us with nothing.
Nothing but the remains of our sanity.
Yes, we can jump
We can jump so high
Until we come back down
And fall so low.

Well jump away! I like the energy in this.
For a first poem I think you did a great job.
