The Key to My Sanity

Contributed by murdamystery on Thursday, 22nd October 2009 @ 05:02:09 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

The lonely never sleep
They will think, insomnia
Wracking their brains
For an answer to this

Their question is simple:
Where will I meet my love,
The one of my dreams?
They starve for the answer

I have found my answer
The key to my lock
The sleep which I need
Come easy to me now

You have unlocked me
The child can rest
Sleep now comes easy
With nothing to fear

Awaken and out steps the man
The one of her dreams
Her knight in shining armor
The answer to her prayers

He steps forward to her
His princess his angel
Sweeps her in his arms
And places a kiss

She stirs with bliss
And stares into his eyes
They search her
And come to rest

Neither understands
Only react upon feeling
They walk together
In the moonlight

Life is grand for those
Who have found their key
As you are mine
And I have found thee

Yet some still search
Some always will
And for those souls
I pray forever still
