Whos fault was it

Contributed by SuicidalSon on Tuesday, 1st April 2003 @ 10:33:54 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I'm looking for love in all the wrong places
can't find anything to fill the empty spaces
I thought I had love but it left with no traces
leaving no support they stole the braces

Now I'm alone with a broken heart
you never loved me not from the start
or wouldn't have left us so far apart
I guess I was stupid but I thought I was smart

I thought you were someone that I could trust
I was in love but you were in lust
you took all I had untill I went bust
left me with nothing but a pocket of dust

Girl its your fault that it happened this way
beg all you want but you can not persway
it wasn't my fault that you wouldn't stay
but it was my fault so you tried to say
so now its my fault you are left to decay

Girl I did love you but still you left me
all that you wanted was to be set free
if that is your wish then I'll let it be
shot in the head for the betrayal of me

first off this poem was great... as for whose fault it is, i dont really know... it could be argued either way... i dont think we need to distinguish between the victim and the abuser because in this case like so many others, each person is both ~Apryl
