I Apologize
I really do apologize
And please, you must realize
That even though I may be crude
And sometimes lewd and even rude
I really have become accustomed to
Having an attraction to you.
I really do apologize
And, please, you must realize
That even thought it may seem
Like you really irritate me
You’ll never know how much glee
Fills my heart, till it breaks the seams
Every time you look at me.
I really do apologize
And please, you must realize
That, yes, I yell and I am loud
It’s really not something to make me proud
But past my voice, my soul lifts when I hear the sound
Of you calling my name; it’s like I’ve been eternally crowned
Every time you come around
I really do apologize
And, please, you must realize
That what’s on the surface is not on the inside
That I’m just a girl trying to hide
Her feelings with fake laughs and lies
And thought I seem fierce, I really cry
And I’m much too shy
To tell you how I feel, maybe sometime
Maybe I’ll tell you, but some things take time.
