WINTER'S LAST FLING AT SPRING

"WINTER'S LAST FLING AT SPRING"

Autumn is Winter's last fling at Spring.
Each colorful leaf is a flower falling.
A special season to alert all creation
Winter is neigh, prepare, awaken!

A trip to the "Snowies" of Wyoming

Golden Merigolds, Roses, Daffodils boasting.

Red Paint Brush, and Sunflowers brown

Misty clouds close, winter's nightgown.

A season of reflection, a season of rest

A good book, nestled by the fireplace is best!

A season of scents, wood smoke, oak and pine.

A season like no other.....all's just fine......

Thank you dear Zahra for the lovely sig.

"Autumn, the year's last, loveliest smile."
William Cullen Bryant ~

*Autumn Smiles*

P.S. To all the wonderful poets on this site. I created this poem for a very special friend that posts poetry here at YPDC. She has struggled with so many problems this year.............you all know how that is.............instead of commenting on my poem..............please leave her encouraging notes to carry her over the winter, and into a better year, next year.
Thank you,
Warm Love to you dear..............there's a better year just over that snowbank so near!

While I try to read every poem, I cannot comment on every single poem. So with that, without knowing who she is I can only hope that I have given or sent that person a note.

Anyways, thank you for a lovely post, ConSue.

Oh Connie,
this is a delight to read. The photo is beautiful as well as the graphics. You are so sweet.
