Black is the colour I wear
For it is my shield of light
Keeping me warm in the cold night.
Black is the colour I wear
For nothing ever gets to me
Nor words, nor kicks,
Nothing can pierce through
As long as black surrounds me.
Black is the blood
That flows through these veins.
Black is my heart
Scared once by pain.
But behind this cape of black
Lies the light they cannot see:
Light of knowledge, light of love,
Black - the light I love to see!
