Rome was not built in a day…

Contributed by brasco on Friday, 16th October 2009 @ 08:20:24 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

You are where comfort lies
As I’ve said, in your eyes
There is a life patiently waiting
All I’m doing is vainly anticipating

That our lives will be side by side
And we’ll finally bridge this divide
That in near not distant time
Your heart will once again be mine

I know Rome was not built in a day
So by this course I long to stay
And though you are my treasure
My heart cannot wait forever…

It has been cold for far too long
And yearns to beat a warmer song
To leave lonely and divisive tunes behind
And sing boldly of love and things that bind

So quickly come back to me
So I can show you how love could be
So that my heart would be complete
So I could kiss your pretty feet

For every inch of your body I desire
All your drive and wisdom I admire
If we could be best friends and lovers
You would be my Queen above all others

And over time our love and family would grow
For Rome was not built in a day you know
And though you are my crowning treasure
My icy heart can’t wait forever…
