Midnight coal reflections captured amidst a twilight's starry gaze
Nature's heat extinguished bringing forth a breaths faint foggy haze.
An owls hollowed echo blends within the silence of distant night
Capturing the soloed deathness brought on by early blight.
A twilight's shimmering tail departs from the heavens of the cloud
Embarking from within the wish my heart had secretly shroud.
The voice of my inner being now encompassed amongst the dark
Igniting a hopeful flame from the shortened wick of my souls spark.
--------------------------------------
A lonely lost soul reminded of an unwelcomed shun
Brought on by her voice of reason and opinions on the run
Trying to forgive a misunderstanding by one who created her world
But a fathers forgiveness comes not to this needy girl.
A reddened firelight's glow subtly glimmers across chilled skin
Tediously heating thin layers and then penetrating within
The Christmas morning parade excitedly hops across the screen
While my thoughts are captured upon the wish of the unseen.
