You are not god.

Topic: political

I sit watching the television, tapping on the net fingers crossing highways of corruption.
Watching the show from my own little island.
My never ending fascination with the world, and the sickness that has covered it.
Blinded mice in cages, chasing the never interminable cure.
Greens stains in our teeth, as we feast on the flow of cash.
Fighting for profit, while dwelling on the past....

Reminds me of a story old George Orwell tried to tell us back in nineteen and forty nine.
A tale similar to our future called 1984, a fate that is too close to becoming true.
We are monitored soon to be in homes, using the child to get in the door.
All in the name of stopping the war.
What is it with power, the addiction?
The rush of being able to crush a whole world?

Or starve your people so they are in need of you?

Hey Government we are begging for small amounts of food,
or a wage that honestly pays the bills.
A person we can trust, when they tell us their promises.
Not another thief, not another marionette.
We are already full of the dreams of money,
try to treat us equal for once.
Let us get respect back,
give us mice a little bit of control.
stop pressing me down acting like god,
you are not god.

You are not god.

Sitting on my island taping away on my keys, longing for the trill of the chase.
Blinded from the lies, unable to tell the difference of truth.
Watching the spoils of our own war, and the food that we waste.
All in the name of finding who holds the reigns,
just to have the proof.
To be stable.
To just be.
To find understanding,
at the problems that we walk.
