Topic: Grief

My heart has betrayed me
What do I do...
Don't want to hurt you
I love you so
Please know...
My head is so confused
I really try...
And I still cry
I hope you can
Please understand...

They you couldn't have loved me any better than you did
And I'm so happy, but for awhile, I have hid
This feeling, deep inside; why is this happening to me
A healthy, perfect love is all I wanted this to be
But here I go again, imperfecting all my success
It seems as if I'll never escape this confusing mess...

My heart has betrayed me
What can I do...
Don't say we're through
I love you so
And please know
That all I want is to make it all okay, and someday
Perhaps I'll be able to look into your eyes, and say
"Thank you so much for letting me go..."
But I think I can say
That today is not that day.
