Why won't you release me?
Ever since I met you I have been under your spell.
Your smile entices me,
The way it goes all the way to your eyes.
Your laugh fills my sorrow with joy.
I want to be with you
Yet I cannot.
For I once was but it's over.
You don't want me back.
Even after all the things you said.
"I love you"
"I'll never leave you"
"I'll never hurt you"
Such hollow words now.
You don't love me,
You did leave me,
And you did hurt me.
Now I don't know what to do.
Why won't you release me?
