Led to anger
Betrayed you believe
The last bridge burned
So it’s perceived

Wise was the plan
Deepest threat removed
Power relinquished
Once again approved

Loss becomes great
Swift will the blow be
Remember that day
Just a preview guaranteed

Convinced in mind
Love you did I not
Removed I may be
In silence not forgot

Denials run deep
Disguised as hope
New beginnings sought
Existing just to cope

Safe in familiar
Makes the perfect pair
Void of essence
Facade simply shared
