Sharing single moments for eternity,
An eternity in a single moment,
Knowing what is behind her glances,
The most beautiful gift to grant or accept.
When the leaves fall,
While molding into one under a speckled expanse,
With her ear listening to the beating heart,
A quiet smile creeps slowly.
Knowing what others do not,
Working through when others say give up,
Reconciliation, resolve, commitment,
The comfort time brings.
When fog rolls down to the lake,
While the morning sun creeps into squinting eyes,
With a creaky porch swing shared,
A loaded smile.
Making another life better through your own,
Given, created by God, to envelop and uncover,
True sympathy in a fallen world,
Above all, a choice.
When the forest closes in and surrounds,
While sharing quietness only nature creates, a breathing murmur of life,
With rays of heaven penetrating through the openings, scatter,
Heads thrown back, open smiles.
