The Land of the Sleaze

Most Americans are decent folks
Some drink Bourbon and some take tokes
These live in a land of the free

But there is another America
That worships on its knees
This is the black heart
The land of the sleaze

Here they pray for war
As they read their holy book
They talk of God and peace
Planting a right hook

If you don’t believe just as they do
Well you really are a creep
Don’t they know they make their God
Into something cheap?

Convenience Christians
Are a bunch of hypocrites
They’ll tell you how this slaughter
Really truly fits

They’ll try to tell you how the bible
Glorifies their war
They’ll try to reassure you
That’s what Jesus came for

These people are pathetic creeps
You’ve seen them in your mall
Their hate-filled eyes hypnotize
They’d shoot you by the wall

These slimy bigots
Mouth words that make us freeze
They are the lowest hypocrites
From the land of the sleaze
