Healing

Contributed by deadwriter on Wednesday, 7th October 2009 @ 05:55:41 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Healing

The blade cuts slowly into the skin
It is now time for the healing to begin
Slicing cleanly across the vein
The blood hits the floor like drops of rain

Tightly gripped between the finger and thumb
No pain remains as the heart has grown numb
God, flush this evil that has taken control of my soul
Is there still good buried deep beneath that which is cruel?

Stains of red will forever remain on this floor
Never to control me any more
Destination already made known
The entrance way has been clearly shown

The second cut causes the heart to sting
As the Angels of God begin to sing
Odd that what will remain in this world of me
Is the thing that allowed all of the trouble to be

The air grows as cold as my heart
From this world it is now time to part
Taking the journey to the place you see fit
Forever in the scorching pits of Hell to sit

I hold no anger against you Lord
I was given every opportunity one could afford
The choices that were made were mine alone
My final plea Lord, let those left forget the me they had known

This poem has such intense pain and emotion that I felt like an observer on this life-stealing act. I am sorry for all the pain you seem to be experiencing. Don't give up because in order to appreciate joy, we have to have pain and sorrow at times. I hope life improves for you soon. Don't give up.

Heidi

dark/depressing/sorrowful at the same time,
with every line with overwhelming pain.
i hope u writing this made things abit better.
life's just too short to mourn... let time do its thing and just be grateful for being alive...

take care

-K.Z.

God...its amazingly written poem
though commenting on something like this seems to undermine its beauty,still...
Its very complete, u have left no loose ends
and there is no blame game, the pain is numbing in its intensity
Great write, keep sharing. God bless u

ps-If this is ur story, I pray that u find the strength to hope,to hold on... somehow
