The first ray of sunlight sets the horizon afire,
Darkness forever it's you I admire.
The sweet smell of roses drifting on the breeze,
a perfume of perfection mixed with morning dew.
I'd toss it away for a memory of you.
The burst of summers eternal joy,
the bliss of cloudless empty skys.
Flowers exalting the sun in millions,
I'd sacrifice it all for a glance of your eyes.
The dancing songbirds most perfect song,
sung for the love of the morning light.
The ecclectic wonder of a springs freshest flow,
its crystal purity twinkling as day kisses night.
Just to hope that you long for my sight.
The blazing heat upon an aquamarine sea,
lying like a lover against the sandiest beach.
The most refreshing melon from the purest tree,
Soft and sweet against my enquiring lips.
Everything and anything for you,
whom they could never hope to eclipse.
