face of the child

Contributed by LadyRose on Sunday, 4th October 2009 @ 07:41:36 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

she sits obedient,
she does as she is told,
yet so shy she is,
she knows it is wrong.
a child she is
but treated like a grown women.
being shown lovers actions
before it should be known
she sits obedient,
playing the game.
she loves playing games
but this one is to painful.
and still she endures
because she was told she is a bad girl,
this little ,frail,innocent girl.
all she wants is to be herself
but as she sits, obediently
she looks in the mirror
and she saw me.......
looking at her as though I could have helped.....
......the damage is done........

Hi,

The theme of your poem is so sad and so terrible!
That such a thing should happen, angers me in the
extreme.

If it's autobiographical, you're a brave girl.
However, I have my own ideas as to what kind
of punishment should be meted out to these
monsters - but can't express it here in case the
Mods consider my comments too strong.

Take care.

Tommy

Desperately tragic, skillfully conveyed.
