Life set in stone

Contributed by Voice of the Silent on Saturday, 3rd October 2009 @ 04:11:43 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Life set in stone is my title and From then till now is Johnny's so I put his at the top of the poem, this is yet another co-write with my friend I hope you like it as well.

From then till now

From then till now
Life was set in stone
But now all I can see
Is just a broken home

|I sit and marvel at the sight
Of my own plight
Everything is going up in flames
And the only thing everyone is worried about is who to blame

Laughing, crying, Screaming, sighing
Why are we so vain
Breaking silence, cold defiance
Someone take away the pain

It’s driving everyone insane
From then till now
Life has been set in stone
But now it’s all set to flames

I sit back and watch
As nights of a creeping clock
Crumble the stone where life is set
Going tick tock tick tock

The stone falls apart

Well- written. I don't know whether u intended it, but it does give an insight into the futility of wars...
How people keep fighting, killing innocents and all they do in penance is place the blame

Good work, plz keep sharing

Makes one think of their own life experience.
While I doubt any life is set in stone in passing, mortality is final, and death is sometimes set under a marking stone.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
