so they sat alone, in silence, on the cold stone steps,
both contemplating the time they had shared the night before ...
oh, don't get me wrong, this is no love story.
just two lonely people whos paths had crossed.
just silence and empty words.
empty actions and regret.
they both had everything, but got left with nothing.
they never once spoke of how they ended up together on those cold stone steps.
there's just silence and a few empty words.

I really liked this write and the air to the poem.
Vivid images and those cold steps, yes I felt that too. Good work.
