Hush 'lil baby, don't you cry, or at least please try
I know you miss your mommy; I'm sorry
But wipe them tears, I'll chase them fears
Big sis' is here, and I'll keep you safe
Your friends, they're gettin' shot, down the block
Mommy's out drunk tonight; probably get in a fight
Daddy's gettin' high; come with me, don't ask why
I'll try to make it better; now lemme see that letter
We gotta save up for college, to get you knowledge
But every time you tried to save some money
Our house got broken into; it got stolen, honey
Don't cry, it'll be alright; don't give up this fight
I know you miss your mom, and you miss your dad
But at least you don't miss the life that you never had
I'll hold you all through the night; you shine so bright
When you're happy; don't worry; daddy'll come, maybe
And even if he's not at your play, you know I will be there
Mom and dad might not care, but I do
And I love you; you better know I do, now
I'll give you that life, don't ask me how
But I promise I'll do it, baby, don't cry
Big sis' is here, and I'll keep you safe
Mommy may not be here; haven't seen her for awhile
But don't cry, baby girl; I'd do anything to make you smile
Wanna see them pretty 'lil teeth, those bright blue eyes
And 'lil sis', don't cry, or at least promise that you'll try
Please don't ask me why; just sleep, 'cause this is my lullaby.

i think this is excellent, it's really well written. I like the theme. :)
