Motel of Mistakes

Topic:

Heart
lifeless like ancient curtains
Stagnant
air itchy with dry dust
Cheap
roadside motel of mistakes
Regret
the ghosts meander down the corridor
Hopelessness
the death kiss they offer
Shock
no road signs warned of this
Chevrolet
rusting forever more in its place
Trapped
even death grants no escape
Midnight
dawn will never break through
Here
unintended destination of recklessness
Absolute
self-inflicted circumstance.

I could say, it reads like a page out of my
naive book. I'm seriously impressed by the
desperation here. My favorite line, by far, is
"unintended destination of recklessness"!
The entire poem is superb though. elle :) |
