why do i hold on?

Topic: LovePoetry

The love I have for you is a love like no other
Your all I think about and the joy of my life
I love you more with each day and I give it all to you
I placed my heart in your hands trusting you not to crush it
I took a risk and gave you everything with trust in you not to abuse it
But I'm sitting here now wishing I can just take it back
You broke that trust and stepped on my heart
My heart is aching
its physically and mentally unbearable
but I don’t have the strength to leave
still I let you hold my heart just waiting for it to repeat
I plead in my prayers to keep me from more hurt
But its something deep down I feel is inevitable
So I sit here still with a pain I fear will never leave
Buried deep inside
I sit here still and beg, please prove me wrong…
