Loved you from the moment I saw you,
May sound like a cheap cliché, I know.
But can’t help it, as never could,
My wilderness carving like arcane volcano,
Oh abandoned one!
Remember how our wet bodies used to mingle,
How the sea of kisses made us celestial slave?
Dreams are now broken, glories forsaken;
And hope is all I got; burns like a fading flame,
You know it’s you. In our sea of despair,
I bathe, I drown until your canoe silhouettes;
Oh chosen one!
Time lopes; if arms remain empty, then?
If sun rises and falls, with his vacant smile, then?
If birds keep singing; the song for longing, then?
And autumn brings its blue only for our melancholy, then?
Know, this boulevard awaits, only for you,
With its line of fire; Oh deserted one!
