Someon You Can...

Watching her eyes turn to night.
From the depths of two sad oceans, diamonds shine.
"**** everyone!" she said. "I've been cheated so many times."
Cue the guilty hammer, striking heavy on my heart. I tell her,
"Everybody wants someone to trust.
I know I've ****** up...but you can trust in me.
And if you find you can't. Please Believe,
there will be someone you can."

A best friend you can trust,
An idea that you can hold.
Passion fire, that is your warmth,
when the world gets cold.

Drinks and smoking, talk tonight.
Her laughter fades to troubled mind.
Feelings creeping in again, I see it in her face. She said,
"To hell with everybody because no one understands."
I feel her dismay. From the other couch, I approach and take her hand,
"We all want to be understood, I hope you find I'm understanding.
If you don't then please believe,
this world has plenty hope for having.
There will be someone who understands."

A best friend you can trust,
An idea that you can hold.
A dream that walks into your life
and shares your very soul.

If you're patient, what you're waiting for,
lies calm inside the eye of the storm
Let hope surpass your bare belief,
heaven is a beautiful forest.
It’s there, just beyond the trees.
