The Mountain

Is it the climb,
The shortness of breath,
The burning in my legs,
The sweat dripping from every pore.
Is it the mountain,
The never ending switchbacks,
The impassable rivers,
The freezing temperatures.
It is everything,
The feeling of accomplishment,
The cool crisp air,
The breathtaking views.
It is the mountain!
