I Must Forgive (in order for me to grow)

I have a desire to be free
Free of the hatred of what I feel for my ex
I need to see past the pain of what he did to me
Work on seeing in me to pray for his unfeeling index
The list can go on, but I won’t let it be this way
To know what I need to do and act upon it
Is something that will take all of my soul to pray
Free me from him, to know he still can torment
My mind of what was, now, I must be
The one to open my heart, pray for him
From his evil misdeeds, let him see
The real truth of his own heart, hiding this sin
It will be difficult, I know
But its part of my healing to grow
And be myself, away from what was
Move to what is, a new heart that loves

was once told that forgiveness is you giving up your right to hurt them for hurting you. Be strong and let go......hope it all works out for you. |
