So teach me which side you want,
And don’t be afraid of the serpent
Come take my open hand as the shadows fall across the land
It’s a consequence from nowhere
That there’s a dancing singing atmosphere
Fighting, laughing, lightning.
I think it’s a case of mis-understanding.
Happiness is comfort and comfort is due.
Madrigal charms remind me of you,
With or without shoe in Dido thongs
Let’s sing some old time songs
Watch the sands of time slip by
Buddy can you spare a lie.
Maybe you have deeper fears?
Even the slugs must have ears.
While a manic diversion screams afar
And our keeper dissolves the stars
All Gods and men can sleep
With the secrets that they keep.
I like to fly by monorail,
I love it when you wear a veil,
I treat my people like the bottles I drain,
The unsound ramblings of a biro brain.
I remember you,
The cigarette he knows you too.
Don’t kick me down beside you.
Let’s spend the day your way,
I never, never can keep away.
I will not turn my back on this,
To watch the old men as they kiss
So please don’t turn your back on me,
The Buzzards dancing wings are free.
There’s so much more beyond these walls,
Come and squeeze me by the balls.
I think I should be a moth
But I’m happy here to be a sloth.
I’m finding it harder to walk on the water,
Let’s have a laugh at people shorter
Who shrink through the heat and the steam?
This could be my last dream.
I just love the thrill,
Can I still touch you when I’m ill?
I can make it hard for you,
Sometimes it’s all I can do.
But now I feel less downtrodden.
Every summer changes but most of them are rotten,
Whenever you are near
Don’t go, don’t go, and don’t go dear!
The thunderheads were gathering over yonder hill
As we ran for our lives, we’re running still.
The sky won’t bleed if we hold it tight,
Everything’s great in the still of the night
The clouds have cast a shadow
Let’s leave it till tomorrow.
I could do with bearing in mind the missus,
I’d really like some hugs and kisses.

I am not exactly sure what your poem is all about, but there were some nice lines in there that get you thinking. |
